Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs
All-terrain pushchair that provides lightweight durability and excellent maneuverability. Its one-hand fold is compact, which means it's easy to transport and also freestanding when folded. The padded seat reclines to a nearly flat position, and there's a huge storage bin and canopy. Baby-friendly? Yes and with a carrycot.
Good suspension and air-filled tyres can handle rough terrain. You can also use it to jog. However, you must wait until your baby is at least 6 or 9 months old.
Ickle Bubba Air
This lightweight pushchair by Ickle Bubba is packed with lots of features that parents will appreciate. This travel system includes a lie flat carrycot for infants as well as an adjustable rear and forward facing seat for a pushchair.
The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it has received the highest praise from its customers. It's incredibly light - the wheels and chassis weigh just 6.5kg and it's extremely simple to construct. In fact I was able complete the entire setup and running in less than five minutes, which is pretty amazing given that it included a strapping of the fabric for the carrycot!
It has a lovely wide, comfortable seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very simple to use. The basket has plenty of space and I find it nice that the handle bar has an area to keep your phone and keys safe.
The only downside is that the handlebar is low, which could be an issue for taller parents. It's covered with soft, supple leather-like material, which is easy to wipe down.
Hauck Pushchair Runner
The Runner is designed for athletic parents who can't wait to go outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels can be used on field and forest trails. The front wheel can be locked and swivels for added versatility. The stroller also features five-point safety harnesses with an adjustable front bar that will keep your child safe during all trips. The parking brake will keep the stroller on its feet while you take a rest. 3 wheeled pushchair can be adjusted to lay flat and the canopy can be opened for maximum air circulation during hot days. The handle can be adjusted by more than 30cm to fit mum or dad.
Whether you're going for short jogs or a hike that lasts a while The Runner is ready to join you on all your adventures with a fully-flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that guarantee a bump-free ride. The front wheel is lockable for more stability on narrow streets and overcrowded sidewalks and the stroller folds up easily to fit in car boot spaces and storage areas.
The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Additionally the locking system (requiring two buttons either side of the handlebar) isn't as user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than some competitors', so it might not be suitable for parents with shorter arms, but overall this is an extremely sturdy and flexible stroller that's worth a look for families with active children.
Red Kite Push Me walking
Red Kite's Pace is a great product from the affordable British brand. They are renowned for their clean, well-designed products that are essentials for parents. It's their latest and most expensive addition to the budget-friendly stroller line. Similar to the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat-compatible, so it can be used from birth.
The new Pace has some fantastic design elements, including rose-gold hues on the chassis, hood and stroller trims, which really set it apart. The cream, grey, and tan fabrics on the stroller and the car seat are elegant and there is an option to add a co-ordinating handle for the cover and bumper bar, too.

The stroller seat can be used from birth up to 22kg. It converts easily into a reversible 2-in-1 position, either facing the parent or world-facing. Internet Page offers multiple lie back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and an extendable sun canopy with concealed zip sections, a viewing through flaps and an retractable sun visor.
Furthermore, when folded in half, the Pace measures up at 56 33 x 43 x 32cm, which means it passes for hand luggage with Easyjet and Ryanair among other airlines. It's also simple to fold down, using two buttons on either side of the handlebar which just click in and then pop out.
Bugaboo Fox 5
Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis has a shorter wheel width that makes it more maneuverable than its predecessor. I tested it with my two kids one of whom is eight weeks old and the other toddler - on rough pavements along with grassy wooded trails and even cobblestones.
The large, puncture-proof wheels - either 22cm or a bit larger - can handle a variety of terrains. The wheels have an opening that can be shut or opened to let more air in when needed. It's a bit larger than other pushchairs, however it does not feel heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.
The fabric for the seat is machine washable, and the faux leather grips and frame are easy to clean. It's also a lot quieter than other pushchairs, and I felt comfortable using it on busy city streets. Another benefit is that it has integrated accessory points, meaning you can add footmuffs parasols, changing bags, and even a snack tray. You can also use the hood to block rain and wind, but it isn't particularly waterproof. It's a single pram but you can attach their Comfort Wheeled Board (not included) to give your child some extra leg room. The bassinet took about 20 minutes to set up and it took a similar time to convert it into an actual seat.
UPPAbaby Ridge
No matter if you prefer an early morning run in the crisp air or a moonlit stroll under the stars, the UPPAbaby Ridge makes every moment a memorable one. This all-terrain jogging stroller is designed for maximum performance to keep your child and you both active.
The large 12" and 16" foam-filled tires offer a smooth ride, regardless of the terrain. The suspension is patented, allowing you to glide over trails with little impact on your child's legs as well as rear. The performance disc handbrake lets you stop quickly, even when jogging on the downhill slope.
The Ridge is at home in all city scenes including bustling farmers' markets to street musicians performing music. Its spacious basket accommodates your shopping cart and all of your baby's essentials while the large canopy provides sun and wind protection. The canopy's large front opens to reveal two mesh windows that allow you to observe your baby's surroundings.
The Ridge's reversible seating allows you to decide whether your child will face you or the world ahead, and its simple foot brake system is a breeze for parents with young children. The reversible handlebar on the back is a fantastic feature that lets you adjust it to suit your height. And unlike some jogging strollers, the Ridge's fold is stable and stays upright when folded.
iCandy Core
The new iCandy pushchair comes with a variety of features that will impress parents. It has a Multi-Mode wheelbase and an LED Visibility Hub light that is the first of its kind in the market. It also comes with an integrated Ride-on Board, which will save you money in the future and makes it easy for a tired toddler to join you on family outings.
The Core is available as either a travel system or single seat. It works with the most popular car seats, including those from Cybex Maxi Cosi Joie. It also has the biggest seat in the iCandy range, so it can last through your baby's early years and beyond. Like all iCandy pushchairs, it's luxuriously constructed and comes with high-end knitted jersey fabrics. The parent's adjustable handlebar and child's removable bumper bar are made of soft leatherette, while the fold-away calf support is also extremely comfortable for children.
I was impressed with the ease of fold and collapse - it only requires one hand, even with the seat unit attached. It fits easily in your hallway or boot and is ideal for travelling. The iCandy Core comes with lots of additional accessories, including a colour matching changing rucksack and a liner/footmuff.
